The Future of EU Supervision

Tuesday 10 October 2017

Josina Kamerling, Head of Regulatory Outreach EMEA at CFA Institute, will engage with Marco Lamandini, Professor of Commercial Law at University of Bologna, and Carmine di Noia, Commissioner at CONSOB, on the topics of the future of EU supervision.
We will discuss the role of ESMA (as a single supervisory authority for capital markets) and the relationship with national regulators; how the Capital Markets Union could facilitate cross-border investments, ease the financing for innovation and start-ups, and foster retail investments (including passporting and overcoming barriers to local distribution); and the consequences of Brexit.
